Preparation with Korean tutors (online) for participation in the idea competition program for South Africa
To promote collaboration between Korean and Nigerian young businesses, South Korea has launched a start-up concept contest program.
During a recent visit to Nigeria, Lyeo Woon-Ki, President of the Korea Africa Foundation (KAF), made this announcement.
Former Korean ambassador to Ghana Lyeo stated that several start-up businesses from Nigeria had applied for the technology-based programs.
He continued by saying that the Korean government had also chosen a Nigerian firm, CC Hub, to help it traverse the challenging process of choosing the right African and Nigerian start-ups and to aid in the incubation phase.
In addition, Lyeo stated that Korea would offer some funds and advice to CC Hub until it could develop some businesses.
They also have a new procedure for developing new prospective firms in Nigeria, in addition to this start-up concept competition. Additionally, they are attempting to persuade Korean unicorns to visit Africa, according to Lyeo.

The ambassador, who traveled to Africa to promote KAF and visited Ghana, South Africa, and Nigeria, emphasized the need of working with Nigeria, which he regarded as a highly significant nation.
He also regretted that the majority of Koreans had negative perceptions about Nigeria because they mistakenly think it is a very difficult and challenging place to live.
"But they haven't been to Nigeria or interacted with Nigerians. However, their perceptions will start to shift once they meet actual Nigerians and travel there. This visit is crucial, and when I was there, I came to the conclusion that Nigeria is a very significant nation, and that they must work together.
Additionally, Kim Young-chae, the Republic of Korea's ambassador to Nigeria, stated that the embassy organized a youth program in Lagos last year that included some Nigerian start-ups.
The business wits visited a number of renowned Korean businesses, including Samsung Electronics, LG, and other shipping organizations, while in the commercial hub of Nigeria, according to Kim, where they inspected their operational procedures.
